Well last night was our second meeting. We learned some new stuff with the weights. That pulse is hard. It is harder trying to figure out how to do it that actually lifting the weights. But I do feel it pretty good in my arms today.

Week 1

This first week has been quite an eye opener. I realize that I eat without thinking. And I eat very poorly. Even when I shop, I don't really think about what I am getting.

We have decided that our whole family needs to get healthy and eat better. We spent time as a family this week-end searching for healthy snacks. We got more fruit and vegies and less ice cream.

I am so excited about this opportunity. This has helped my family to start to realize how unhealthy we really are; and this is only the first week. I know that our eating is perfect, it is a long way from perfect. But as our team will meet with Christina (our trainer) I'll learn more about how to be healthy.

OK, Well Friday was a tough day. Lots of stress,,,,so I am realizing that I am quite an emotional eater. I really wanted to have lots of food from DQ. But, I fought that urge. Then when I got off work I decided that I would go work off some of my stress at the gym. That is the first time I have chosen a work-out rather than a hot-fudge-sundae:)


Saturday
As the gym is not yet open on Saturdays and I really wanted to get my heart rate up, I decided to go for a walk. So my sister-in-law and I went to Moore Park. We walked around the path for about 1/2 hour. That felt great; she and I don't get to spend much time together so that was awesome.

Sunday
My 3 kids and I went for a walk at Moor Park. This time we walked 1 1/2 hours. It was wonderful. We took so many different paths, every time we saw a path that went up hill, we took it. My daughter finally stopped suggesting those paths, as every time she made a suggestion, I said "OK". My 10 year old son was ready for anything and had a great time. And my 8 year old son about 1/2 way through the walk, he was not enjoying himself. He made it clear that he didn't think this was fun and next time he was going to stay home. (He'll get over it). We also took some great pictures,,,,we'll post them soon.

So far my team has had our first weigh in and our group meeting with our trainer and we did our first work out.

Last night I did my second work out and realize that I am so out of shape. It is great to have a group of people to do this with; it will help keep me on track. Also, I am very competative so there is no way I'm going to slack on this:) It will be awsome to see before and after pictures of the 2 teams.

A quick note for the ROCK team,,,,,,WE ARE GOIN TA STOMP YA!!!
